American West Metals Records more high-grade copper at Storm, Canada

  • American West Metals (AW1) records further near-surface copper mineralisation at its Storm project in Nunavut, Canada
  • The final assay results from the company’s first drill program included 19 metres at 2.08 per cent copper from 58 metres including two metres at 15.98 per cent from 70 metres
  • All up, AW1 says the diamond drilling more than doubles the mineralised envelope and “substantially” enhances the resource potential
  • The company believes there is potential to further define near surface high-grade copper deposits in areas defined by historical drilling to host massive copper sulphides
  • Shares in AmericanWest Metals end the day 3.85 per cent in the red to close at 12.5 cents
