Paymob lands PSP licence from Oman’s central bank

  • With the license, Paymob can now process online and in-store payments in Oman using its local integration with OmanNet, the central bank’s payment infrastructure.
  • Oman-based merchants using Paymob’s gateway can accept local and cross-border payments, streamlining the integration process.
  • Founded in 2015, Paymob operates in the MENAP region and expanded to Pakistan in 2021, UAE in 2022, and Saudi Arabia in 2023.
  • Paymob’s gateway offers 40 payment methods, serving over 250,000 merchants and employing 1,400 people in the region.
