- TrendiTech, Inc., a Burnaby BC, Canada-based startup focused on AI-driven food waste processing solutions, raised CAD2.25M in seed funding
- The round was led by WGG Capital Canada and Florida’s Vestech Partners
- The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach
- Led by Craig McIntosh, CEO and co-founder, The company is a startup dedicated to creating new robotic, AI-driven food waste processing solutions
- Its Biotrim mobile processing units upcycle avoidable food waste and turns it into a shelf-stable product that can be repurposed, called Bioflakes
- Trendi’s Biotrim mobile processing units are currently in production, with a prototype expected to be complete for testing and evaluation in 2022
