Regional Federal Credit Union partners Sharetec for core processing

  • Regional Federal Credit Union, operating in northwest Indiana, USA, has chosen Sharetec as its core processing partner to modernize its technology stack and support future growth.
  • Sharetec’s web-based Velocity solution will replace the credit union’s existing in-house core system, aiming to enhance back-office operations and integrate third-party fintech solutions through open APIs.
  • With Sharetec, Regional Federal Credit Union plans to offer new digital services to its members in Hammond, Portage, Valparaiso, and Winfield, including recurring payments, online banking, personal financial management, and remote deposits and signatures.
  • Jill Banning, the president and CEO of Regional, expects Sharetec’s offering to improve system processes, enhance security, and provide better backup solutions for the credit union.
  • Established in 1961, the Regional Federal Credit Union provides a variety of financial products and services, such as savings and current accounts, mortgages, credit cards, loans, investments, gift cards, and business services.
  • Regional Federal Credit Union joins other institutions partnering with Fort Wayne-based Sharetec for core technology solutions, following Oshkosh Community Credit Union’s agreement with Sharetec announced earlier in January.
