Puerto Rico’s Segura Bank taps Temenos to power new digital bank

Segura Bank International (SBI) in Puerto Rico has chosen Temenos’ cloud-based core banking platform for its new digital bank targeting mid-to-high earners in Latin America.
The platform includes transaction processing, multicurrency account management, know your customer (KYC), and regulatory adherence capabilities.
Temenos’ solution aims to help SBI launch banking products faster, scale efficiently across the continent, and achieve enhanced operational efficiency and increased automation.
The implementation, guided by delivery partner ITSS, was completed in six months.
SBI’s CEO, Juan Zambrano, emphasizes that Temenos’ technology provides confidence for growing the new digital bank and offering stability in US dollars to more customers across Latin America.

Temenos has recently implemented similar solutions for other institutions, including the National Bank of Iraq, LPBank in Vietnam, and Libra Internet Bank in Romania.
