Open Raven Raises $20M in Series B Funding

  • Open Raven, a Los Angeles, CA-based data security posture management company, raised $20M in Series B funding
  • The round, which increases Open Raven’s total funding to date to $40m, was led by Pelion Ventures with participation from Kleiner Perkins and Upfront Ventures
  • In conjunction with the funding, Jeff Kearl, Partner at Pelion, joined Open company’s Board of Directors along with Seksom Suriyapa from Upfront Ventures
  • The company intends to use the funds to make additional investments in engineering, sales, and marketing to accelerate their roadmap and expand support for their increasing portfolio of large enterprises
  • OpenRaven provides a the data security posture management platform that enables enterprises to prevent leaks, breaches, and compliance incidents
  • Already, this month, the company released new data intelligence capabilities including structured data classification and a new set of APIs for both pulling data and triggering scans
