N26: gets $300m funding in a Series D funding round and more than 2.3 million customers

  • N26 is Europe’s first Mobile Bank with a full European banking license
  • The round was led by Insight Venture Partners and takes N26’s valuation to a mighty $2.7 billion
  • N26 will use the proceeds for its US launch of its mobile banking product in the first half of 2019
  • The firm has raised more than $500 million from investors including Tencent, Allianz X, Peter Thiel’s Valar Ventures, Li Ka-Shing’s Horizons Ventures, Earlybird Venture Capital, Redalpine Ventures and Greyhound Capital
