Mux: Raises $105M in Series D Funding

  • Mux, a San Francisco, CA-based video platform for developers, raised $105m in Series D funding
  • The round, which brings total funding to $175m and its valuation to over $1 billion, was led by Coatue, with participation from existing investors
  • The company also intends to use the funds to accelerate hiring and to continue to build on their customer-centric platform
  • Led by Jon Dahl, CEO and co-founder, Mux also enables developers to stream video across every connection and device through APIs for live and on-demand video
  • Mux Video complemented by Mux Data, which monitors several billion video streams every month for some of the world’s largest video streaming platforms, helping them to analyze
  • Hundreds of publishers including Robinhood, PBS, ViacomCBS, Equinox Media, and VSCO already use Mux
