ICYMI fintech funding round-up: KlariVis, Komunal, Maalexi, Cleva & CSI

  • KlariVis (US):
    • KlariVis, a US-based data analytics solutions provider for community banks and credit unions, has raised $11 million in a Series B funding round led by Blueprint Equity.
    • The funds will be used for advancements in engineering, product development, customer success, and sales and marketing.
  • Komunal (Indonesia):
    • Indonesian neobank Komunal has secured $5.5 million in a Series A+ funding round led by Sumitomo Corporation Equity Asia.
    • Komunal, a “neo-rural bank,” plans to expand its product offerings and increase partnerships with rural banks, focusing on those outside Java and Bali.
  • Maalexi (UAE):
    • UAE-based dynamic risk management platform Maalexi has raised $3 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by Global Ventures.
    • The funds will be utilized for tech development and customer acquisition, with a focus on attracting more buyers in the UAE and Saudi Arabia and adding sellers from over 50 origin countries.
  • Cleva (Nigeria):
    • Nigerian fintech start-up Cleva has secured $1.5 million in a pre-seed funding round led by 1984 Ventures, with participation from Y Combinator and others.
    • Cleva aims to create a banking platform allowing African individuals and businesses to receive international payments by opening USD accounts.
  • CSI (US):
    • US-based CSI, a provider of core processing, digital banking, managed cybersecurity, payments processing, and regulatory compliance solutions, received a strategic investment from TA Associates.
    • TA Associates joins existing investors Centerbridge Partners and Bridgeport Partners. The funds will be used to enhance technologies and services for community banks.
