Funding Circle & Atom bank: Announce £300m lending partnership

  • Funding Circle is the UK’s largest loan platform for SMEs and was founded in the aftermath of the global financial crisis
  • Atom bank launched operations in April 2016, offering market-leading Fixed Saver accounts and secured business lending for SMEs
  • Announce a lending partner that will provide £300m of new funding to small businesses
  • With £350m already lent through the platform, this latest commitment brings Atom’s total lending to £650m
  • Atom will harness technology and distribution platform to deploy new funding to ~4,000* UK small businesses
  • This lending partnership will support SMEs through Recovery Loan Scheme (RLS) product and existing loan product
