Ex-TNEX chief Bryan Carroll heads new Credit-Decisioning-as-a-Service start-up SMEApprove

  • Bryan Carroll, former TNEX chief, now leads SMEApprove, a Credit-Decisioning-as-a-Service (CDaaS) platform.
  • SMEApprove targets banks, fintechs, and lenders supporting the global SME sector.
  • The platform aims to address the $5.7 trillion funding gap experienced by SMEs.

  • SMEApprove enhances credit decisioning by providing access to alternative data sets and uses AI to assess over 300 data points in loan applications.
  • The platform includes a loan monitoring tool to help banks track administered loans.
  • Mbanq, a Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) provider, has adopted SMEApprove’s solutions across all client platforms.
  • Carroll is also the CEO of InclusionFS, which helps banks in emerging markets adopt socially inclusive strategies.
