EMVision: Posts strong results from brain scanner trial

  • EMVision Medical Devices (EMV) has received firm results from a clinical trial testing its novel imaging brain scanner technology
  • The study collected data from 30 stroke patients to guide improvements to EMVision’s technology
  • Pleasingly, the trial showed the brain scanner device could classify the stroke type with an accuracy of between 93.3 and 96 percent
  • Fusion imaging collects data and signals from each algorithm to create one compact image to refer to
  • EMVision’s device also received positive feedback from operators and patients
  • The company will use the data to accelerate product development and future clinical studies and discussions
