Dutch paytech Online Payment Platform secures EMI licence in the UK

  • EMI License: Online Payment Platform (OPP) has received an electronic money institution (EMI) license from the FCA in the UK, expanding its service offerings.
  • New Capabilities: The license allows OPP to provide a wallet solution, supporting cross-border C2C, B2C, and B2B payments for marketplaces and platforms in the UK and Europe.
  • Current Offerings: OPP’s platform features multi-split payments, dispute handling, automated mediation, and an escrow solution.
  • Expansion & Workforce: OPP has offices in London, Berlin, and Delft, with over 100 employees.
  • Partnership with Worldline: Recently, OPP collaborated with Worldline (holding a 40% stake in OPP) to launch an embedded payments solution, integrating OPP’s tech with Worldline’s acquiring, acceptance, and POS services for multi-currency support.
  • Mission: OPP aims to provide targeted payment solutions for marketplaces, platforms, and trading merchants to support international expansion.
