DroneShield Completes delivery of $1.8m contract

  • DroneShield (DRO) completes the delivery of a $1.8 million contract from the US Department of Defense
  • The contract was for Drone Shield’s DroneGun MKIII handheld counter drone system, with the full payment due to be received this quarter
  • The $1.8 million contract marks the largest US sale by Drone Shield to date, and follows a recommendation by the Department of Defense’s Joint Counter-Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems Office (JCO) to adopt DRO’s fixed site systems
  • Meanwhile, the company says it’s been progressing discussions on sales to Ukraine follow the initial deployment at the start of the war earlier this year
  • The company is up 2.44 per cent, trading at 21 cents at 1:40 pm AEDT
