  • The round, which brings Cockroach Labs total funding to $355m at a valuation of $2 billion, was-led by Altimeter Capital
  • The company also intends to use the funds to expand operations, business reach and develop the product
  • CockroachDB also provides organizations both large and small with a transactional database with a cloud-native, distributed SQL architecture, multi-cloud flexibility
  • It is used by enterprises in areas including communications, gaming and entertainment, e-commerce, and financial services
