CME Group: Launch Ether Futures on February 8, 2021

  • The new contract cash-settled, based on the CME CF Ether-Dollar Reference Rate

  • Ethereum the second-largest cryptocurrency by both market capitalization and daily volume
  • Ether futures join CME Group’s Bitcoin futures and options. As CME Bitcoin futures approach their third anniversary on Dec. 17
  • CME Group exchanges offer the widest range of global benchmark products across all major asset classes based on interest rates
