Clear Street, a US-based independent prime broker, has strengthened its technology leadership team by appointing Jon Daplyn as Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Hari Godbole as Managing Director and Vice President of Engineering.

  • Clear Street has hired Jon Daplyn as CIO, who will oversee a team of 150 technologists and report to CEO Chris Pento.
  • Hari Godbole, the new Managing Director and VP of Engineering will be responsible for technology across Clear Street’s Derivatives, Securities and Finance, and Clearing, Settlement, and Custody departments. He will report to Jon Daplyn.
  • Jon Daplyn comes to Clear Street with over 27 years of experience, including senior roles at Morgan Stanley, where he served as the Head of Prime Brokerage Technology.
  • Hari Godbole brings more than two decades of experience to his role, with previous positions at Cantor Fitzgerald, Citi, Fidelity Capital Markets, and JP Morgan.
  • Sachin Kumar, Clear Street’s Co-Founder and CTO, expresses confidence in Jon and Hari’s expertise, believing they will help Clear Street lead the way in providing a technology-first experience for prime brokerage to compete globally.
