Clean TeQ: Completes wastewater treatment trial in China

  • Water treatment company Clean TeQ (CLQ) has completed a nitrate removal trial in China for a Chinese wastewater treatment company
  • The trial aimed to showcase the BIONEX system’s ability to reduce nitrate levels in wastewater at a low cost
  • Nitrate water pollution is a global issue which causes algal growth that harms water quality
  • Nitrate in drinking water has also been linked to ‘blue baby syndrome’ and to various cancers
  • Following the success of this trial, Clean TeQ will begin two more demo trials in China over the next few weeks
  • Company shares are trading flat at 30 cents in early afternoon trade
