Bank of Lithuania: Apply stricter controls on fintech access to payment system

  • CENTROlink a payment system operated by the Bank of Lithuania provides technical access to the SEPA and TARGET2 settlement system
  • Since the beginning of this year, the Bank of Lithuania changed the fees applied to CENTROlink services
  • CENTROlink plays an important role in promoting the development of the payment services sector
  • On a year-on-year basis, the number of instant payments in 2020 increased from €3.6 million to €17.1 million
