CaixaBank forms GenAI task force with backing from Microsoft, Accenture and Banco BPI

CaixaBank forms a task force to explore generative AI (GenAI) use cases.
The Valencia-based bank has integrated AI into foreign trade and cognitive assistant services.
The task force comprises 100+ employees from CaixaBank and its subsidiary, CaixaBank Tech.
The goal is to discover GenAI applications for digital innovation, employee efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Expects the project to streamline new software developments and enhance management information analysis.
The collaboration includes Banco BPI, Accenture, and Microsoft, partners in the AI innovation lab established in June 2022.
Microsoft’s involvement provides access to off-market generative pre-trained transformer models in a secure test environment.
Depending on outcomes, CaixaBank plans to deploy beneficial use cases across the group in the next year.
