Thames Technology: Opens Europe’s first metal payment card production facility

  • Thames Technology was established in 1995, having previously traded in the plastics industry for 40 years
  • Opened the first metal payment card production facility in Europe at its headquarters in Rayleigh
  • The unveiling took place at its open day on Tuesday 8th November which was attended by over 100 customers
  • The £3.5m investment made by parent company, Paragon ID, into the new metal card production
  • Fusion Metal Card is the first metal card with a dual interface to be manufactured at the new production facility
  • Luxurious card is made from a pure stainless-steel core with an ultra-thin PVC layer on the front and back
