Azumo Raises $30M in Funding

  • Azumo (formerly FLEx Lighting), a Chicago, IL-based display technology company, raised $30m in financing
  • The round was led by Anzu Partners with participation from SABIC Ventures, VectoIQ, Dipalo Ventures and Energy Foundry
  • The company intends to use the funds to accelerate international expansion, increase its manufacturing capabilities and help launch new products featuring its low power LCD 2.0TM technology
  • The company offers sunlight-readable, reflective LCD 2.0 technology with high energy savings compared to traditional, power-hungry backlit LCDs
  • The technology is eye safe, thin, and is opening new applications for reflective LCDs across consumer, medical, industrial, and educational markets
  • With a range of 1″-17″ in size, the platform displays can easily integrate into any device
