YBVR: Raises $1.5M in Financing

  • YBVR, a San Jose, Calif.-based XR video distribution platform, raised $1.5m in Pre-Series A funding
  • Backers included Verizon Ventures, Telefonica’s Wayra and Tech Coast Angels
  • The company intends to use the funds to advance technology, build its team and further key partnerships
  • Led by Hector Prieto, Co-founder and CEO, YBVR leverages 360-degree streaming to provide a video platform that enhances the virtual viewing experience
  • The company is able to live stream 8K ultra-high-definition video with next-generation technologies for a premium experience across devices with a sub-second latency
  • The company also has a development team in Madrid and commercial presence in Japan and Australia
