Saunders International: Awarded $26M defence contract

  • Saunders International (SND) has awarded a $26 million contract for the Larrakeyah Defence Precinct Redevelopment Program (LDPRP) in Darwin
  • The LDPRP will enhance the Australian Defence Force’s capacity to undertake operations in the north of Australia
  • It will also provide fuel storage and refuelling capabilities to meet the growing demand
  • Under the contract, Saunders will construct two 1.75 megalitre diesel fuel tanks, the tank farm pump facility, piping, and fire, water, electrical, and safety services
  • Construction scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2021 and is due to completed by the end of 2022
  • Saunders is up 10.2 per cent and shares are trading for 65 cents each just before market close
