Buddy Technologies: Launching antibacterial smart light

  • Smart home solutions company Buddy Technologies (BUD) set to launch an antibacterial smart light under its LIFX brand
  • Significantly, the knowledge of the antibacterial properties of light goes back around 15 years and has been extensively studied
  • LIFX Clean will sold as a standalone light bulb in its initial phase, then later with specially designed fixtures to hold keys and other pocket items
  • The product yet untested against COVID-19, and the company makes no claim over its potential use against viruses of any kind
  • The product will launch soon on LIFX.com for presales and expected to available at retail locations in the fourth quarter of this calendar year
  • Buddy Technologies is trading 21.74 per cent higher at 8.4 cents
